SEND MORE LABORERS!

Updated: Jan 25, 2022

There was a man from the Northern part of the country we visited in the Middle East that came and shared his testimony with us during our time with the long-term team. He grew up Muslim, and was from a small town where there were zero Christians. One day, a Western believer and a local believer went to this small town to meet people to share the gospel. They met this particular man during their time, and were invited into his home. During their first home visit, they noticed a Bible on this man’s shelf. He claimed that he had no idea how it got there and that he had never read the Bible. The missionaries asked if they could come back and read stories from the Bible with him. He agreed. After working through many stories, the man and his entire family placed their faith in Christ! They realized that Christ was God Himself and that He was/is worthy of all worship.

Their family began inviting children from the town over and sharing Jesus stories with them. The rumor of this got around, and this family began to be threatened. One day, the father walked out of his house and saw that his young son had been run over by a car because of his faith in Jesus. The father had to rush his son to the emergency room and he was miraculously healed during his time in the hospital. Another time a group of 40 men came to their house and attempted to stone the man while he was outside working on his house. He mentioned that not a single stone hit him or his family because God protected them. They had to eventually move out of the town due to it being unsafe. However, the man began doing ministry in hospitals in the surrounding area. During one of his hospital visits, he encountered the man who had led the stoning months prior. The guy saw him, and immediately felt terror. However, the Christian man embraced him, hugged him, and forgave him. He said that this is how Christ receives us as sinners. He asked him to begin reading the Bible, which he agreed to. The man ended up coming to faith, and now the two are partners in ministry praying to see churches planted in every major town of their region!

I asked him after hearing his story what I should tell our local church. He said “Please tell them to send more laborers. We need more people. We cannot do this alone.”

The plea and the ask of this man was more people to faithfully proclaim the gospel among those who haven’t heard.

Are you willing to go to these hard places to see the Unreached reached?

THE WELL MISSIONS

We believe Jesus was serious when He said to take the gospel to the ends of the earth, so we desire to do just that. We do not only want to briefly help people by doing short-term mission trips, but also build sustaining relationships and be a consistent help by sending long-term missionaries, businesses, and anything else that will help carry the gospel overseas.
